Materials Compliance Engineer

As Materials Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for attaining product and materials compliance by preventing compliance issues; developing and executing compliance programs; completing documentation and recommending process changes. Candidate with strong experience and expertise is entitled to Senior Compliance Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify applicable compliance standards and requirements, and develop company compliance policies, strategies, and governances.
  • Develop and lead the execution of short-term and long-range implementation programs including roadmap, plan, schedule, tools, resources, test standards, conformity assessments, reporting, performance measures, etc.
  • Interpret compliance regulations and their requirements, analyze the associated business risks & implications, propose best-fit procedures, create risk mitigation plan, and advise stakeholders on the relevant matters.
  • Prepare, file, and sign-off compliance reports, declarations, and other documents where applicable.
  • Manage materials compliance database – Collect, review, and keep compliance data updated with requisite data integrity and validity by implementing a robust engineering approval process.
  • Keep track of the latest regulatory developments, emerging compliance practices, and methodologies to incorporate them into daily operation.
  • Manage customer compliance requests, collaborate with relevant stakeholders to satisfy customers’ needs in a timely manner.
  • Standardize relevant documentation processes and templates (reports, declarations, etc.) by adopting best industry practices.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Chemical or similar.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a material compliance engineer.
  • A thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards – RoHS, REACH (SCIP), Conflict Minerals, Prop 65, TSCA, POPs, VOCs, WEEE, etc.
  • Good knowledge of product labeling (CE, CCC, FCC markings, etc.) and packaging requirements.
  • Proficient in report writing, analysis, and compliance procedures.
  • Experienced in SAP or other ERP Systems.
  • Result-driven, attention-to-details, and passionate about continuous improvements.

Optional Skills:

  • Experience in product safety.
  • With EMC certification (IEC62368\60601\55032\61000, etc.)
  • Familiar with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams, SharePoint. Experience in Power Platform.
  • Experience in project management, quality & reliability control, and Multi-team collaboration.
