Data Analyst/Specialist

Acts as a subject-matter expert of business data (products, BOMs, materials, suppliers, sales, etc.) – Gathers data from various sources, cleanse data for integrity and accuracy, applies various data analysis tools to provide meaningful information and insights to help businesses make better-informed decisions. Candidate with strong experience and expertise entitled to a Senior role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical expertise in database/data system development and data infrastructure setup.
  • Collecting/consolidating data from various sources and organizing them into usable formats.
  • Using statistical tools to derive meaningful information/insights from raw business data and analyzing data to find answers to specific questions.
  • Assessing the quality and meanings of data and cleansing corrupted data for integrity and accuracy.
  • Creating data visualizations and reports for other stakeholders to comprehend business facts and trends to make better decisions.
  • Working with relevant stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
  • Creating appropriate documentation that allows others to understand data analysis processes and steps to foster wide adoption of data processing techniques.
  • Liaising with various departments and internal stakeholders to create collaborative work relationships – understand their data requirements, propose the solutions, advocate the team values, obtain their supports when required, etc.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering or equivalent disciplines.
  • 3+ years of experience as a data specialist/analyst or in a related field with a good understanding and hands-on experience in the data warehouse.
  • 2+ years of experience in the electronics industry with good knowledge of electronics product development, manufacturing operation, and supply chain management. Experience in Engineering Documentation & Control is highly desirable.
  • Proven skills in Microsoft PowerBI and Excel with proficiency in Power Query, Power Pivot, Data Model, DAX, Visual Reporting, etc.
  • Experienced in Microsoft SharePoint, Access, Dataverse, Lists, Teams, etc.
  • Solid understanding of Product BOM, PLM, and ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, etc.
  • Good understanding of relational databases, RDMS (SQL server), and SQL language.
  • Strong mathematical, statistical, and analytical skills – the ability to analyze, model and interpret data, identify trends, patterns, and insights from data.
  • Ability to analyze existing tools and databases to provide solution recommendations.
  • Attention-to-details, high standard at quality and deliveries.


  • Experience in Engineering Documentation & Control.
