Engineering Program Manager

As Program Manager, you will be responsible for creating project plans, and driving and motivating the cross functional team to deliver the product to meet the business objectives. You will become expert in understanding  and executing according to XP’s processes and procedures to: 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and publish the list of active projects and project status
  • Help define, then track and report metrics / KPIs on the sustaining projects
  • Host kick-off meetings for new projects to align the team on the project objectives
  • Host regular meetings with internal stakeholders to track and drive engineering and factory activities
  • Ensure requirements traceability from requirements capture through product validation and product release
  • Ensure the Bill of Materials is validated by engineering and changes are approved through the change  management process
  • Work with Operations and the factory to get parts lead times, status and availability. Ensure materials are  secured and builds are planned and executed to meet the project objectives
  • Host and drive design reviews and phase gate reviews as required based on the project complexity
  • Other duties may be assigned


Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Project and/or Program Management experience in releasing complex electronic products using a structured Product Lifecycle
  • Ability to work autonomously to lead geographically dispersed, cross-functional team
  • Experience using SAP to research Bills of Material, research costs, track engineering change orders, look up and  post documentation, check material status and availability
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with a focus on team building, influencing and conflict  management. Comfortable presenting to and communicating with cross-functional groups at multiple levels
  • Experience managing many programs at one time in a dynamic environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Project/Program management role working with cross-functional teams to plan and execute hardware projects in dynamic engineering organization
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
  • Must have experience in successfully delivering projects while working independently in a dynamic  environment
  • Must be a self-motivated and proactive problem solver
  • Must be a team player with excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
  • Experience using scheduling tools like SmartSheet or MS Project
  • Solid understanding of hardware development lifecycle and relevant processes preferred
  • Experience with Excel to aggregate data, produce reports, and compare files preferred


Other Skills:

  • Fluency in Vietnamese
  • PMP and CSM certifications
  • Experience with power conversion
