Reporting to Altium Lead Librarian, successful applicants main responsibility will be the Global Altium Librarian (create, implement and maintain the library and design rules).
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating E-CAD (Altium) symbol / footprints.
- Maintaining the Global Library that meet the IPC standard and its design guidelines.
- Working closely with Altium Lead Librarian and the teams to layout the structure, rules, and best practices check list for Global Library creation.
- Work within the Configuration management team to establish rules and release practices.
- Scheduling and executing against a planned approach for symbol and footprint creation.
- Implement and deploy the Global Altium Library on a Global basis.
- Work with developers on a global basis to meet their symbol / footprint requirements.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- 5-10 years as a PCB designer (with library experience) or PCB librarian.
- Knowledge and skill in drafting methods, procedures and techniques using Altium E-CAD or equivalent (PADS knowledge a plus).
- High density AC-DC converter PCB layout design experience a plus.
- Experience of manufacturing for DFM and design release.
- Excellent communication and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Knowledge in Valor and SAP is a plus.
- Good management and decision making skills; including strong organization, verbal and written communication.
- Analyzing datasheets of various component types.
- Schematic Entry and PCB Design a plus.
- MCAD knowledge a plus.
